Kia Ora Dear ReaderJust before Easter this year I missed a flight to Australia and lost a precious day, and was then bumped off an Air NZ flight and ended up flying Qantas, finally sitting in the wrong seat, yes that's correct, I should have been actually two seats back in 28A ... this is what happened. I got on the plane, into my seat, where an older gentleman kindly stood up to let me in after my greeting stating that I hoped he would not have to do this again for the duration of the flight. As we started to descend into Brisbane after the three hour crossing from NZ, I turned to that gentleman and apologized to him saying that I should have been more communicative because as there was so much technology of screens on seat backs and headphones and choices of entertainment that this got in the way of genuine human to human communication. He heartily agreed and we talked about this and then he ramped up the conversation to talk about the capacity of the human to communicate, and with that I took his lead and we were sharing information that took the frequency to yet another level. One where metaphysics and spirituality merged.
We continued to extend our stories and talk all the time and as the plane landed and came to the terminal he asked me my name and I shook hands with him and said Tim Lynch and he replied that he was Barry McGuire. I stunned put my hand on my heart and said 'Thee Barry McGuire' from 'Eve of Destruction'? The 1965 American hit that topped the charts ... and he beaming at me, said yes!Well … that only pushed the conversation upwards and that Barry said he was going to work and sing with Aborigines and bring through some new music and I shared with him that this was a very synchronistic meeting, because I was flying on the wrong day, on the wrong airplane and sitting in the wrong seat. He laughed. Then I told Barry that I had been on the Rainbow Warrior 36 hours before it went down and of my synchronistic meeting with Steve Wozniak of Apple Computer in Red Square outside the Kremlin at 12 midnight back in 1986. Steve had been on a peace march from Leningrad to Moscow and could not believe that I could have picked him out at that time of night. He thought I was KGB, with bushy eyebrows and all and that because he was the top computer tech man in the USA he might be targeted. He was equally shocked when I then pointed out Leonard Nimoy 'Spock' of Star Trek standing 10 feet from him, whom we both later conversed with. He thought this was quite surreal. It then resulted in him also having a serendipitous meeting with a Muscovite Joseph Goldan who I had been previously that day, hanging out with and who had been involved in a rock and roll festival 'space bridge' utilizing a satellite sitting in geo stationary orbit high up over the Bering Strait, between Alaska and Siberia. This was the first televised rock concert initially intended to be a celebration of technology and culture, 'the US Festival' that Steve had actually financed, that was linking San Bernadino, California to Moscow USSR. The result was that I was able to contact Joseph and that both ends of this act of 'citizen diplomacy' were able to have coffee together the following morning.Anyway, Barry and I had to part at the immigration desk so I gave him my card and we laughed in very high spirits and hugged each other then went on our way. After exiting the Brisbane airport I took the train up to the Sunshine coast to stay with a dear friend Pamela in Caloundra, who was having her 60th birthday the following day. When I told her the story of my meeting Barry McGuire she immediately started singing:'The eastern world it is explodin', violence flarin', bullets loadin', you're old enough to kill but not for votin' … with delight and passion, because she was writing a novel and Barry's song, the Eve of Destruction was mentioned in one of her later chapters.Well, Pam had her joyful 60th party the next day and I sat with a friend of hers Jill from NZ and the conversation came around to world events and that NZ was still a Nuclear Free country and she then mentioned the radiation cloud that was first noticed off the Australian coast at Caloundra back in early January of this year and that another one was measured over Dunedin NZ following that. It is perceived that it was one and the same cloud. I said YES, I was very aware of this radiation cloud, and had previously sent the only news article available to Pam in Caloundra and that when it happened it irked me that radiation had entered the Southern Hemisphere. To the extent that a very good naturopath I knew had advised me on detoxing radiation a number of days previously. She then said that she lived opposite the guy who first raised the alarm when his geiger counter spiked up to 8 microcervits back on the 8th January in 2012.I immediately said I want to talk to him and the next day visited Peter Daley an IT specialist, who was adept at computers and monitoring certain technologies. Peter then conveyed that things were indeed very serious and that the global media and governments world wide, including Australia and New Zealand were playing everything down. They are censoring a huge percentage about Fukushima radiation contamination. So much that the former Japanese Ambassador to Switzerland had broken ranks with Japanese Governmental gags and had written to the Head of the United Nations saying that the situation is exceptionally precarious. He said that all the worlds best brains need to come together to sort this critical challenge out and to forget about the Japanese Government having to 'save face.'He strongly stated that if through failure, the crippled building of reactor unit 4—with 1,535 fuel rods in the spent fuel pool 100 feet (30 meters) above the ground—collapses, not only will it cause a shutdown of all six reactors but will also affect the common spent fuel pool containing 6,375 fuel rods, located some 50 meters from reactor 4. In both cases the radioactive rods are not protected by a containment vessel; dangerously, they are open to the air. This would certainly cause a global catastrophe like we have never before experienced. He stressed that the responsibility of Japan to the rest of the world is immeasurable. Such a catastrophe would affect us all for centuries. Then top spent-fuel pools expert Mr. Robert Alvarez, former Senior Policy Adviser to the Secretary and Deputy Assistant Secretary for National Security and the Environment at the U.S. Department of Energy, was asked for an explanation of the potential impact of the 11,421 rods.Based on U.S. Energy Department data, assuming a total of 11,138 spent fuel assemblies are being stored at the Dai-Ichi site, nearly all, which is in pools. They contain roughly 336 million curies (~1.2 E+19 Bq) of long-lived radioactivity. At stake here is about 134 million curies is Cesium-137 — roughly 85 times the amount of Cs-137 released at the Chernobyl accident as estimated by the U.S. National Council on Radiation Protection (NCRP). We may find it difficult, to appreciate the actual meaning of the figure, yet we may be able to grasp what 85 times more Cesium-137 than the Chernobyl would mean. It could potentially destroy the world environment and our civilization. This is not rocket science, nor does it connect to the pugilistic debate over nuclear power plants. This is an issue of human survival. So the question that is asked, are we on the Eve of Destruction? Seriously? What must we do, and what must the Japanese Government do?Little did I know that I would end up running into synchronicities that would bring me to this juncture. So, this is where we are today, NOW!Trusting that this information does not disturb you as much as it has me.Sincerely with LoveTim Lynch
Kia Ora Dear Reader,Global warming is slower than Lovelocks's horrific projections! James Lovelock's hypothesis that became the theory of Gaia, that of the earth being a closed, tightly coupled super system is entirely correct - a colossal super organism. The guy in his younger days was a genius plain and simple. He brought our planet to life, in many ways for the first time since ancient Greece and upon doing this, the worlds indigenous peoples all exclaimed, "hey white man, what have we been telling you for hundreds of years?".Lovelock's research and his ideas have benefitted mankind greatly and the feminine hugely. However his panic around how fast warming was happening and advocacy of nuclear power, has shown that he fumbled the ball (earth) and in the whole process terrorised huge numbers of us, especially me when I interviewed him back in 2004.We can't claim he was totally wrong and that there is no global-warming, the fact is there is something happening, it's just not as dramatic as originally claimed, but nevertheless with deforestation, habitat depletion and the draining of wetlands and that there is over a billion motor vehicles sucking up oil and spewing the remains into the earths respiratory system daily, has to be factored in somewhere.
Any closed control system can exhibit instability leading to a run-away effect and oscillation. Any engineer will tell you this. The only thing Lovelock did wrong, having created the theory, he made a small error in the magnitude of the effect, but he was in principle basically right.BUT, we need to revisit this global warming question, because George Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld plus Mobil Exxon said Global Warming was fiction, and I dearly do not wish to find that they were correct all along. However, Lovelock's Gaia, Papatuanuku in Maori, allows us to recognise that this magnificent planet loans us our bodies, in the form of a mineral and elemental garment to inhabit, and loans us freely our air, and our water plus a clean organic food chain. Though commercial interests in the last 30 years are vying to own both our water and food systems and to our detriment. In many ways the high end of reverence for our planet, Gaia, the spiritual dimension, was witnessed in the movie Avatar when the indigenous Na'vi of Pandora saw and experienced the sacred in their deep connection with their sustainer. This was where the flora and fauna were all connected and through the 'tree of life' they communed 'as one', a single super system, and a higher dimension of being. The only things stopping humanity here on Earth from engaging in such a profound act is the limitation that we have placed upon ourselves.Time to awaken our hearts to this possibility today.
